Everything you want to know about chocolate
Will I ever get tired of eating chocolate? Probably not. And definitely not while I'm eating it in every conceivable form. This year I whipped up chocolate cakes, cookies, muffins, scones, puddings, candy, and more. But from smokey-salty chocolate bark to delicate chocolate dipped cookies, here are my five favorites of the past year.
Smoked Salt, Potato Chip, and Pretzel Chocolate Bark
This is the easiest of the chocoholic recipes (simply spread melted chocolate on a pan and sprinkle with goodies), and it's still my favorite. The crunchy, salty-sweet combo is addictive, and the sprinkling of smoked salt puts it over the top.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake
I love peanut butter almost as much as chocolate, so I combine them whenever I can. This is one of my favorite cakes of all time because it reminds me of a Drake's Funny Bone.
Flourless Chocolate Lava Cakes
These molten lava cakes are as chocolaty a dessert as you can get. They're flourless (nothing to dull the chocolate) and they're served warm (to bring out the most in chocolate flavor). They can be prepped ahead, which makes them convenient for a dinner party.
Chocolate Stout Bundt Cake
I love how moist this cake is, and how the stout makes the flavor really deep and dark. It's also really easy to make—just whisk it up in a bowl.
Chocolate Dipped Tuile "Cigarettes"
I love how crunchy and delicate these cookies are. You can really gobble up a lot of 'em, which is also a problem, because they take a bit of effort to make! I say make a batch just for yourself.
