Continuing our month-long cookie baking bacchanal, we're heading to New York City with One Sweet Cookie. For this Manhattan-centric book, author Tracey Zabar has collected recipes from the city's most gifted chefs resulting in a collection of some pretty classy cookies, both classic and creative. It's one of the year's most elegant baking books, a veritable who's who of New York restaurants in cookie form.
On the roster this week are Lamingtons, those iconic Australian sweets from Shaun Hergatt of SHO; Banana Chocolate Chip Sandwiches from our pal Jenny McCoy, who heads up the pastry department at Craft; and some of the best Chocolate Chip Cookies in New York, courtesy of Jacques Torres.
