Monica's Blueberry and Raspberry Tart
This was my first attempt at making a berry tart from scratch and the result way exceeded my expectations. A big shout-out to David Lebovitz, whose recipes for the tart shell and pastry cream I used here. The crust has a great shortbread-cookie texture/taste and it is amazingly easy to make - we're talking no rolling out the dough and no need for pie weights! The fresh berries provide a nice balance against the sweet pastry cream and crunchy shell. I know I'll be making more tarts in my future. Monica M.
