During a trip to Ben and Jerry's HQ in Vermont, I learned a lot of interesting facts about the company (between ice cream feedings). For instance, did you know Ben & Jerry's employees get three free pints a day every day? Oh yes, it's true. Read on for more.

The new "Cores" from Ben and Jerry's are like a two scoop sundae...in a pint.
You can now safeguard your favorite ice cream flavor with a cleverly engineered working combination lock. No... really.
NBC's quirky Tina Fey-penned sitcom "30 Rock" may have ended last week, but its lovable title character will live on in a freezer case near you. We got a chance to try the new flavor.
Because we don't confine our ice cream eating to Ice Cream Month, we dove into the newest ice cream from Vermont's finest: Chocolate Therapy and Chocolate Nougat Crunch.
I'm a fan of all cookie dough ice creams—the cookie dough-ier, the better. The only problem with that flavor, though, is that there's nothing cookie dough-like about the ice cream. It's just little blobs suspended in vanilla. Why do I love Ben & Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk? It tastes all cookie all the way through.
Remember this SNL sketch back in the Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon era? The two were hosts of "Delicious Dish," an NPR-parodying radio show and in this yuletide-themed sketch from 1998, Alec Baldwin played their guest Pete Schweddy, the owner of Season's Eatings Bakery. It's been a while, but an SNL classic like that isn't forgotten. Ben & Jerry's just decided to release a Schweddy Balls flavor, now available nationwide.
Last week we told you about Ben & Jerry's new flavor, Late Night Snack. As predicted, caramel plus potato chips (read: salt!) plus chocolate is a good thing. The next time you're diving into a pint of ice cream, consider pulling out a greasy bag of 'tato chips and dunking, tortilla chips and salsa style.
The latest in the Ben & Jerry's flavorsphere: Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night Snack," which has a vanilla bean base with salty caramel swirls and crunchy fudge-covered potato chip clusters. So basically potato chip ice cream. Mmm, yup, pretty sure we approve. The concoction was inspired by a Late Night with Jimmy Fallon skit in which Fallon and The Roots performed an original song, "Ladysmith Snack Mambazo" about B&J's ice cream. Look for it in a freezer section near you this week.
When Ben & Jerry's released a limited-batch Chocolate Flourless Cake ice cream flavor exclusively at Walmart this year, they were criticized by fans. "Talk about selling the soul of a product!" But the hippie-dippy Vermont ice creamery is trying to work with the multinational corporation to change food systems.
Add this to the list of Ben & Jerry's flavors inspired by music, right after Cherry Garcia, Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies, and Imagine Whirled Peace (the John Lennon tribute flavor). In conjunction with Bonnaroo, the music festival in Manchester, Tennessee, Ben & Jerry's is releasing Bonnaroo Buzz. It's pretty much just their Coffee Heath Bar, but with an alliterative name and some extra caramel swirls thrown in there. If you like coffee ice cream and Heath Bar—and in my very unscientific research, I've found that penchants for the two seem to overlap—you'll really like this one.
One of the best and worst things about Ben & Jerry's: they're always introducing new flavors. But with that comes some rough goodbyes to the retired flavors. Just when you started falling for Bovinity Divinity, it's nowhere to be seen in freezers. At the Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, Vermont, they have an actual graveyard—as in, there are headstones and it's on a grassy knoll—for these late flavors. Let's take a moment to remember them.
We thought we had sampled all of the new 2010 Ben & Jerry's flavors when word got out about an elusive new exclusive: Flourless Chocolate Cake. Find out if this new flavor warranted a 30-mile roadtrip to the nearest Walmart.
The folks at Vermont-based ice cream–maker Ben & Jerry's have renamed their signature Chubby Hubby flavor "Hubby Hubby" to mark today's enactment of the state's new law that allows same-sex marriage. A Hubby Hubby sundae will be available in Vermont...
What bookish flavor combo would YOU fill it with? The New Yorker points us to the Facebook group People for a library-themed Ben & Jerry's flavor! As you'd imagine, word nerds can get pretty clever with the library-related puns:...
It's tougher than it looks. Open, flip over, push down on bottom, and finally, enjoy. Usually ice cream doesn't make people think this hard, but I actually had to watch a how-to video to understand the proper eating process...
"Is there such a thing as milk-flavored ice cream?" With summer pie season around the corner, it's important to have the right vanilla ice cream for proper scoopage on top. We conducted a blind tasting with six readily available nationwide...
Stephen Colbert must have read our post on Ben & Jerry's new Elton John-honoring Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road flavor. At first we didn't recognize the "brickle" part either, but Colbert made perfect sense of the word: "some sort of English...
Step aside Phish Food, Cherry Garcia, and Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies. There's another music-inspired Ben & Jerry's flavor on the scene: Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road, made of chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butter "brickle," and...
