Bake the Book: Dulce de Leche Pudding

More like Dulce de Lovely. Two cans' worth of sweetened condensed milk are whisked into a milk and cream base to made this Puddin'. The transmogrification of said condensed milk into a butterscotchy caramel sauce is what makes this pudding so very delicious.

Tips: We did say that making pudding is a relatively speedy affair, but this one requires a little prep work, but we promise, it's worth it. Take the time to make the dulce de leche the day before you put the pudding together; it takes about 4-5 hours and needs to be watched, so we recommend a) finding a pot that holds 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, with room b) simmering said cans on a quiet evening when you have the time to check them every 30 minutes or so. But of course, you can also buy premade dulce de leche. We won't look at you sideways.

Tweaks: Just like the photo shows, it's a good idea to break up the super-sweetness of a pudding like this with cake crumbs or vanilla wafers. Making it into a parfait is a fun, yet elegant serving solution.

As always with our Bake the Book feature, we have five (5) copies of Puddin' to give away.
