American Classics: Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch Squares
While Leandra may be the biggest cerealphile among us, I always appreciate a good cereal-based dessert. And there's no reason cereal treats need to be confined to Rice Krispies or their crisp rice generic counterparts. Cereal + butter + marshmallows = delicious. Add chocolate to that mix and hello, easy treatland!
Chocolate and peanut butter are a dynamic dessert duo and a proven one in cereal treat form (check out these Scotcharoos). The other day as I was brainstorming easy and different desserts for Super Bowl Sunday, my wheels started spinning, what if you made marshmallowy cereal squares with Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch? What if you added chocolate? For the sake of science, dear readers, I went there. And if you're looking for a tasty and super easy dessert to make for game day, you'll want to go here, too.
