Weekend Baking Project: Orange, Cardamom, and Pistachio Wedding Cakes
It's always exciting to have our awesome Sweets columnists bring cookies to the annual Serious Eats Cookie Swap because well, we know their donations will be delicious. So it was with these Orange, Cardamom, and Pistachio Wedding Cakes, which were brought two years ago by Let Them Eat and Dulces columnist Maria del Mar Sacasa.
Just because they're an oldie doesn't mean they're not a goodie. With their buttery, nutty, deliciously crumbly nature, wedding cakes are always a crowd pleaser. These up the ante with a burst of bright citrus and earthy cardamom. They're especially nice if you're holding a holiday cocktail party, and that goes for New Years, too.
