TGI Friday's may spring to mind mostly as a fallback option for cheap drinks and appetizer platters, but the casual dining chain (with nearly 1,000 locations) puts what looks like a decent amount of effort into their dessert menu, serving up everything from expected standards to signature sweets you won't find anywhere else.
There are six options on the permanent menu: Tennessee Whiskey Cake, Brownie Obsession (a brownie sundae), Peanut Butter Pie, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Cake, and the Oreo Madness—an ice cream sandwich made from a giant Oreo cookie. At the location I visited (in downtown San Diego), all desserts were $5.99. Prices elsewhere may vary.
With calorie counts that range from 490 to 1,270 calories, deciding what to order comes down to a calculation of taste vs. caloric payload. So, which treat should you choose? We put them all to the test to find out, and you might be surprised to see which option came out on top. Scroll through the slideshow at the top of the post for a closer look at all six of the desserts at TGI Friday's »
