This week SE'ers got in the autumnal mood by baking with fragrant, cozy cinnamon. Click on through the slideshow to see cinnamon-y beignets, sponge cake, scones, and more.
A note on submissions: This post was supposed to run a few weeks ago, mere days after I got married and hightailed it on my honeymoon. There was an issue with the submissions that I wasn't able to fix because I was gone, and, as a result, we had to ask for them again. If your submission didn't make it in this week, it's not because we didn't choose it, but because it was lost to the dark forest of left socks and unanswered emails. As a frazzled newlywed I beg your forgiveness and hope you'll submit again next week!
And what is the topic for next week? Hint: it's another thing that we love in fall. That's right: tea. But there's no need to keep it in the cup—we like adding green tea to our cakes, chamomile to our panna cotta, and Earl Grey to our shortbread. How do you incorporate tea into dessert? Tell us about it, and shoot us a photo (along with a link to the recipe!) and we'll include it in next week's roundup. Be sure to send it in no later than Tuesday, October 8th so we can include it in the Share Your Sweets on Thursday October 10th.
If you're new to Share Your Sweets, take a peep at the rules here. A few notes: we can only take one submission per person, so pick your favorite (or the most recent shot) and send it in. Also, Share Your Sweets is just for the folks at home; no pros or companies! If you want to really impress us, crop your photo so it's 610 pixels wide and 458 pixels tall.
