Open Thread: What's Your Ideal Chocolate Chip Cookie Texture?

It's an issue as old as time itself —what's the ideal texture for a chocolate chip cookie? Thin and crispy? Soft and chewy? Thick and fluffy? Something in between? Although the question may incite some heated debate, at the end of the day, it's a matter of personal preference. Here's a sampling of the cookie preferences here at SEHQ:

Ed: Pretty classic —I like a crisp outside and chewy center.
Kenji: I like the edges almost like toffee, really buttery and crunchy on that outer rim, then soft in the middle.
Max: Same as Kenji, but I want mine almost raw in the middle, like a black and blue steak.
Ed: I don't know if I can agree with that raw center.
Jamie: I like mine soft and chewy throughout.
Ben: I don't care if it's soft or crispy, but it can't be too dense. I want to be able to bend it a little.
