Who doesn't love Speculoos, those thin, crispy, sweetly-spiced cookies hailing from Belgium? Luckily, at Wafels & Dinges, they're all over the menu, like in this shake. Spekuloos ice cream is layered with spekuloos spread and whipped cream.
2nd Street Salmon Special
This loaded Brussels waffle is heaped with lemon-dill sour cream, delicate smoked salmon, capers, and red onions. It's everything you wanted on a bagel—but served up on a waffle, instead.
This sundae features spekuloos ice cream, crumbled spekuloos cookies, caramelized bananas and plenty of whipped cream.
Wake Up, Grumpy
This breakfast/brunch dish aims to please, with scrambled eggs and plenty of melted cheese sandwiched between two bacon-spiked Liège waffles.
A classic item from Wafels & Dinges' menu, the lemon Brussels waffle is DeGeest's favorite: just a waffle dusted with powdered sugar and squeezed with lemon. "Belgians don't like a lot of stuff on their waffles," he explained. "This one is probably our most authentic waffle."
Wafels & Dinges' corner location lets customers spread out, and big open windows provide tons of light and an airy feel.
