Giveaway: Win A Limited Edition "Zelda Collection" from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams


Get out your cocktail shakers; the countdown to the premiere of The Great Gatsby has begun. And in celebration, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is releasing a limited edition "Zelda Collection."

Inspired by biographies of Zelda Fitzgerald, Jeni created four flavors that nod to Zelda's life and favorite flavors. "The ice creams follow Zelda from her childhood home in Montgomery to New York, Paris, and St. Paul," Jeni explains. "Starting with Sweet Cream + Blackberries to Loveless Cafe Biscuits + Peach Jam (she longed for this Southern treat during her days in New York), then our version of the sidecar cocktail: Cognac + Marmalade (made with Seville oranges), to a Dark Chocolate Rye with added caraway. These ice creams are meant to be a tiny piece of the puzzle; to get you just a little closer to Zelda the twenty-something in the roaring 1920s."

A limited edition run of 60 collections will be made and sold on Jeni's website. Each collection features four flavors:

Blackberries + Sweet Cream: Grass-grazed Ohio sweet cream with swirls of homemade sweet-tart blackberry sauce.

Cognac + Marmalade: Inspired by the classic Sidecar cocktail, this ice cream features brandy-spiked grass-grazed cream with a homemade marmalade of Seville oranges.

Dark Chocolate Rye: Dark chocolate ice cream spiked with Middle West Spirits' fult-tilt Oyo White Rye whiskey and caraway (as in The Great Gatsby's Nick Carraway).

Loveless Biscuits + Peach Jam: Inspired by Zelda's favorite treat, biscuits and peach jam, and by the biscuits at Nashville's Loveless Cafe, this ice cream features actual pieces of made-from-scratch biscuits and peach jam.
