Chocolate Chunk Cookie
"Cookies are what I gravitate towards in the afternoon," says Day, "so it I wanted to make it easy to find good cookies."
Inside of Chocolate Chunk Cookie
The cookies at Flour + Co. are thick and homey. Other flavors include oatmeal praline, triple ginger, and peanutty peanut butter. All $2.75.
The key to this coffee cake ($3.75) is layering. A layer of cake is topped with crumb, then more cake, then a final layer of crumb. Though you'd never guess, it happens to be gluten-free.
This individual crostata ($4.25) is made from a sweet pie dough filled with rhubarb, sugar, lemon zest, and oat crumble.
This sticky bun (which is about the size of an apricot) is made from a sweet yeasted dough topped with walnuts, pecans, and "plenty of gooey caramel sauce." ($3.50)
Toasty Tarts ($4.50) come in sweet and savory varieties. This version features an herb crust with a salami and manchego cheese filling.
Salami and Ham Ciabatta
Five sandwiches are available for lunch. This one combines ham, salami, roasted yellow peppers, and manchego cheese. The ciabatta, tapenade, and aioli are all made in house. ($7.50)
For breakfast, in addition to the baked goods, you'll find granola and yogurt, toast with jam, homemade muesli, and oatmeal. This day's oatmeal was a savory version with bacon and parmesan cheese.
