Seattle may be a city known for coffee, but we're not too shabby on the chocolate front, either. We play host to an annual Chocolate Salon, as well as the Northwest Chocolate Festival. And why not? Seattle has a bounty of chocolate makers, including the only organic, fair trade, fair-for-life certified bean-to-bar chocolate factory in North America: Theo Chocolate. With all the chocolate options around the city, Seattle's becoming a bit of a chocolopolis.
In fact, Chocolopolis is the name of one of our finer chocolate shops, and a must-stop when searching for Valentine's Day gifts. With the most interesting selection of chocolate bars, truffles, and more in the city, anything off Chocolopolis' shelves will meet with approval.
Of course that's not the only option, and I've scoured the city to set you up with other chocolate favorites including brownies, macarons, filled figs, mousse, and molten cakes. Bring home any and all of these, and your loved one will simply love you more on Valentine's Day—or any day.
