Well guys, it's a sad day for German sweets here on SE because we got, gulp, only one submission. (If you need future ideas, here are a few to check out.)

But that's OK because after over a year of sharing your sweets, everyone deserves to take a break. Hopefully you're ready to roll up your sleeves and turn on your oven for next week, since we're looking for your favorite recipes for bar cookies. Pecan bars, lemon bars, Hello Dolly bars, shortbread jam bars—send them all!

And, if we can ask one more thing, tell us: what sweets would you like to share? Do you have a recipe that you know the SE community would just love? Tell us what's baking and we'll try to make sure you get a chance to get them out there.

A reminder about the rules: tell us why your recipe rocks, shoot us a photo (along with a link to the recipe!) and we'll include it in next week's roundup. Be sure to send it in no later than Tuesday, October 16th so we can include it in next Thursday's Share Your Sweets on October 18th.

If you're new to Share Your Sweets, take a peep at the rules here. A few notes: we can only take one submission per person, so pick your favorite (or the most recent shot) and send it in. Also, Share Your Sweets is just for the folks at home; no pros or companies! If you want to really impress us, crop your photo so it's 610 pixels wide and 458 pixels tall.
