Weekend Baking Project: Pastry Cream and Fresh Fruit Tart

Summer fruit is still good for baking, and we're taking advantage by making this fresh fruit tart. The fun part is playing around: make the tart shell, fill it with an easy pastry cream, then top it with any fruit you like. Try slices of peaches and nectarines, or pile it high with raspberries and a scattering of lemon zest. For an end to an elegant meal, we'd choose slices of figs, drizzled with just a touch of honey.
