Have you been searching for the perfect novelty gift to bring to your next Jewish holiday gathering? Look no further, as kosher ice cream brand Chozen has introduced a few new pints to its club of flavors inspired by classic Jewish desserts. In addition to the existing Matzoh Toffee and Apples & Honey, we took a taste of the newbies. Here's what we thought.

Chocolate Babka would have come in handy for Elaine and Jerry back in the 90s. The vanilla ice cream swirled with fudge and genuine babka pieces from Green's Bakery in Brooklyn manages to capture the overall flavor of the real thing remarkably well. The cake bites hold their form in the ice cream, keeping their chewiness without becoming stale or soggy. But the overall product is just a bit too sweet for my liking, and I would've appreciated some more bits of babka.

Next up was Heavenly Halvah. This dairy-free flavor draws from the tahini and honey based dessert, blending caramel into Halvah creme and adding sesame crunch candy. This was also an extremely sweet product, and although it won some staunch supporters in the office for its creamy texture, we found ourselves wishing it had actual halvah in it instead of just the sesame candy.
