Crumb cake is a breakfast, brunch, or coffee-break classic. In keeping with the seasonal theme, this version from The Seasonal Baker adds a pint of fresh blueberries.

Tips: An easy way to improve on this cake is to increase the crumb. Prepare another 1/2 recipe of the original crumb, or go for broke and double it.

Tweaks: Adding powdered or crystallized ginger (which makes an appearance in the next recipe we'll feature), makes the crumb pop.

Also, the pan used for this recipe is a slightly odd size, but don't worry about adding one to your kitchen; you can buy a disposable aluminum version for cheap.
