Black trim, raw wood beams, and exposed brick walls make this a sleek, modern space. The large glass-fronted pastry case holds rows of breakfast sweets.
Cake For One
A variety of individually sized cakes includes a Zucchini, Olive Oil and Pistachio Financier and a Blackberry Lemon Travel Cake.
"The Rebel Within"
This whimsically titled muffin ($7.00) is possibly the tastiest, and definitely the most interesting, item at the bakery. The exterior of the muffin is studded with porky Boccalone sausage and salty Asiago cheese.
The "rebel" is a concealed soft boiled egg. One bite and the gooey yoke runs out, mixing with the salty, porky muffin. It's like a breakfast sandwich, in muffin form.
Passion Sesame Croissant
Drawing on multiple cuisines, this croissant ($3.50) is filled with a mixture of tahini and almond paste. The flaky exterior is then painted with passion fruit glaze and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The resulting croissant has a crunchy, slightly sweet exterior and an addictively nutty middle.
Chocolate Salted Caramel Brownies
Two chocolate nut brownies sandwich a layer of salted caramel. Like the egg yolk in the Rebel Within, the middle layer of caramel is gooey and soft, providing a nice textural counterpoint to the brownies ($2.75).
"Our Damn Fine Granola"
What makes their granola so damn fine? A mixture of oats, cornflakes, cocoa nibs, pistachios, honey, butter, sugar, vanilla bean, cinnamon, sweet curry powder, and salt.
These cute little pots change flavors with the season. For summer, a mixture of apricot, milk chocolate, and sable cookies.
Peach, Buttermilk, Lemona Verbena Cube Cake
These individually portioned cakes ($7) are meant to be bought in a variety of flavors and brought to dinner parties so that everyone gets something to suit their taste. This version has a light cheese cake-like top, a layer of peach jam, and a bottom layer of spongy cake. A sprinkling of sugar coated granola adds a bit of crunch to the top.
Chocolate Croissant Stack
Frustrated by the classic construction of a pain au chocolat—which features one thin bar of chocolate inside a croissant—William made this croissant stack ($3.50). Alternating layers of croissant and chocolate ensure that you'll get chocolate in every bite.
Something For The Road
Strawberry, raspberry, and peach pate de fruit ($0.75)
