Bake the Book: 'People's Pops'

20120609-209955-peoples-pops.jpgWhile ice cream is a year-round thing (for us, at least), popsicles are a cool and sweet summertime-only treat. With that in mind, we present this week's Bake the Book title, People's Pops, a collection of seasonal popsicle recipes from the namesake Brooklyn pop shop.

Sourcing local and sustainable ingredients, authors and shop owners David Carrell, Joel Horowitz, and Nathalie Jordi have created a brand of popsicles that are innovative, super tasty, and wildy popular. Refreshing flavor combos like Strawberry-Balsamic and Corn-Blackberry bring the popsicle out of little kid territory and into a whole new world of elegant and exciting treats.

For the next two weeks, we're going to be breaking out the mold and freezing up a few batches of popsicles courtesy of People's Pops. We'll start out with some cocktail hour ready Cantaloupe & Campari pops and move on to some summery Watermelon & Parsley pops. Get ready for a cool couple of weeks here on Bake the Book, or maybe Freeze the Book?
