Hello and welcome to the third week of Marshmallow Madness, a month-long competition that pits sixteen regional food bloggers (and their marshmallows) against each other. This week we're flying out east to check in on the mallowy action. Get ready, this week's contenders are some seriously talented marshmallow makers.

First up we have Reeni from Cinnamon Girl Recipes, who had the genius idea to interpret a banana split via the squishy medium that is the marshmallow. Her Banana Split Marshmallows begin with banana flavored mallows and are topped, split-style, with chocolate ganache, pineapple marshmallow crème, whipped cream, walnuts, rainbow jimmies, and finished, of course, with a cherry on top.

Next up we have Culinary Cory whose perfectly pink marshmallows were inspired by a refreshing summer cooler: raspberry lemonade. The fresh raspberry purée gets an added kick of acidity from lemon juice, making these mallows perfectly sweet and tart.

The Queen's Notebook took marshmallow making to the next level with her adorable and intriguing Mango Banana and Purple Yam Bunny Mallows. These little bunnies might look like Peeps but the tropical flavors are on a whole other level.

Looks like the competition is really heating up and we'll be announcing the winner of this sweet bracket on March 19th. For now, you can follow along here with our recaps and check out the action in realtime on Twitter by using the hashtag #MarshMadness.
