A few days ago, we heard whispers of a candy-cookie hybrid so brilliant that we wondered how no one had thought of it before: The Nestle Crunch Bar with Thin Mints. It makes perfect sense. Bubbly, crispy milk chocolate is the perfect match for the lightly minty wafer cookies. But no one seemed able to confirm the existence of the bar and we worried that, like our desire for a Honey Bunches of Oats ice cream, it was all just a dream.
Luckily positive news came in this morning, and we can sleep easy tonight knowing that the bar is real. MSNBC got the scoop, and they report that the bar will be on store shelves in June. Better yet? They gave us a few mouth-watering details as to just how this mash-up will be made. The bar will be made of "dark chocolate cookie wafers and mint chocolate creme, topped with airy crispies,"
We're not thrilled about waiting until June to try the new bar, but promises of other hybrid roll-outs (Samoa cookie-candy bars? Can we dare to hope?) will tide us over.
Are you excited for the new Nestle Crunch-Thin Mint bar? What Girl Scout Flavor would you like to see them use next?
