Congratulations to Our Own 'Bravetart,' Stella Parks, Food & Wine Best New Pastry Chef
Food & Wine anoints America's "Best New Chefs" each year, a highly sought-after award recognizing promising talent in the culinary world. But this year's the first time they've named their "Best New Pastry Chefs," and our own Stella Parks has been selected as one of the five winners.
Serious Eats readers know Stella as the genius behind Bravetart—on SE: Sweets, she's shown us how to make homemade Fauxreos, homemade Fig Newtons, and so much more. But when Stella's not rhapsodizing about Pop-Tarts, she's the pastry chef at Table 310 in Lexington, KY. It's for this work that she was recognized by Food & Wine. They called out her "blood orange panna cotta with a toasted Champagne marshmallow" as a standout, but the fun side we see on the site shows through, too; the editors also note her "grown-up pop-tarts and cookie plates."
