While the cupcakes in David Arrick's The Butch Bakery Cookbook were designed to appeal to masculine sensibilities, these Tailgate Cupcakes loaded with salted caramel are a great equalizer. There's something about the saltiness that has even those who aren't big dessert eaters embracing the sweet.

These cupcakes are basically the holy trinity of salted caramel: salted caramel cakes filled with yes, salted caramel, topped with salted caramel, and finished with a shower of crunchy coarse grained salt. Sweet, salty, totally gooey, and pretty much guaranteed to make everyone very happy.
