S'mores Cupcake Ice Cream Sandwiches from Stephanie N.

Peach Pie Granita from Megan D
"My favorite summery dessert so far this year is this Peach Pie Granita. I had intentions to make a peach cobbler, but my kitchen and apartment were so toasty from making BBQ side dishes that I couldn't fathom turning it back on, much less eating a hot dessert! This granita was so thoughtful to use up the peaches I had that were about to die a slow death on my kitchen table. I blended them up with spices used in peach pie and served it with whipped cream. It tastes just like peach pie! It's a summer miracle. Here's my blog post where I put the recipe."—Megan D
Thyme and cardamon-infused cherry cobbler from hmw0029
"I accidentally bought mediocre cherries so I had to make them into something. The cherries were macerated with sugar, and the cherry-sugar syrup that came out of the cherries was cooked with flowering thyme from our garden and green cardamon.
The cherries were then mixed with some flour and infused syrup, and topped with this cobbler batter . We're thinking putting some cornmeal in the batter next, because we like cornmeal pie crusts for summer fruit pies."—hmw0029

Sophie C's Gooey S'mores Cookie Bars
These Gooey S'mores Cookie bars are moist and chewy with a sticky marshmallow Fluff center.
The cookie dough base is made with brown sugar and tastes surprisingly like graham crackers.
Chocolate chips add the finishing touch.
The recipe was haphazardly scribbled down from "Lickin’ the Beaters 2: Vegan Chocolate and Candy" in a Barnes and Nobles and then re-mixed (and un-veganized) in my kitchen. Recipe (and a short haiku dedicated to the gooey treat!) can be found on my blog here."—Sophie C
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bars from Lauren L
"The beauty of these bars is that you get all the good stuff in every bite, chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate. Get the recipe here."—Lauren L
Creamsicle Cupcakes by Tracy S
"When I hosted a friend’s 50th birthday party, she requested cupcakes for dessert. Since she loves everything orange—the color AND the flavor—I made Creamsicle Cupcakes, inspired by a favorite summer ice cream treat. I combined my favorite vanilla cupcake and cream filling, concocted an orange icing for the top, and baked them in cute orange gingham cupcake wrappers. They were a hit at the party! My post with the recipe is here."—Tracy S
Sarah W's Peach-Strawberry Pie
"I made this pie to usher in my first summer in LA. I spied some organic yellow peaches and strawberries at the store and figured they would make a happy marriage. Challenge: I had never made a pie before and am allergic to peaches and strawberries. Visions of soggy crusts and a mean allergic reaction floated in my head. Instead, the crust came out golden, buttery, and crisp. The fruit was the best pie filling I’ve ever tasted. Best part? I didn’t suffer an allergic reaction. I think I've found a new way to get my daily dose of fruit. Recipe here."—Sarah W.
Chiffonade's Cinnamon Buns
"I used the Copycat.com recipe for Cinnabons: Buns from Heaven. It's my favorite non-eggy cinnamon roll recipe. (Of the eggy doughs, I love Nancy Silverton's Brioche Cinnamon Rolls.)"—Chiffonade
Strawberry Tarts from Nisse G

Cupcakes from Michelle C
"This is a rhubarb & vanilla bean cupcake I made with the first rhubarb of the season. I spent days tracking down the rhubarb just to make these cupcakes. I topped them with a strawberry rhubarb frosting. The perfect combination. Get the recipe here."—Michelle C
Miranda L's "No Birthday Expectations Strawberry-Rhubarb Galette":
"After a thwarted
birthday dinner last weekend to the Lobster Roll-Northside (where I was
planning on a ending my meal with a big slice of Briermere Farms
Strawberry-Rhubarb pie) I decided to take matters into my own hands and
bake my own birthday galette. Putting good use to an abundance of local
strawberries and satisfying my craving. Until I can get to Briermere! Recipe here. "—Miranda L
Emily R's Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
"I used local milk and cream, sugar, peppermint extract, vanilla and Ghiradelli dark chocolate chunks. I run a bakery out of my home kitchen in Portland, Maine and sell gourmet cakes and cupcakes to local coffee shops and restaurants. Here's my website."—Emily R
Sara V's Hershey Bar Cookies
"Almost a decade ago (I can't believe I'm old enough to refer to ANYTHING as being a decade ago *sigh*) I came up with this recipe for a sweet friend's birthday. Her favorite candy is Hershey bars and I wanted to make something special and unique to her....thus, Twillypop's Hershey Bar Cookies were born. To me, they are a summer treat because her birthday is in June! Here I have baked them in a mini muffin pan to make them even dressier for her birthday. Oh, and they're utterly delicious. I blogged the recipe here."—Sara V
Carolyn's mini strawberry rhubarb pies
"The attached picture is of my mini strawberry rhubarb pies that I make as individual servings in a muffin tin. They're perfect for a picnic because there's very little clean-up and you can freeze leftovers to bake off whenever you want some fresh pie. There's nothing like warm strawberry rhubarb pie in 10 minutes when you get home from work. Recipe here."—Carolyn, AKA meatballs&milkshakes
Summer cookies from Sarah B
"They are spiced sugar cookies with royal icing. I made them for a party to kick off the start of summer. I am currently living in Okinawa Japan (military) and run a from-home bakery of sorts. (Got to have more options than just the commissary!)"—Sarah B

Rashmi's Sticky Buns
"Recently I added another of Peter Reinhart's baking books to my recipe collection. First I made the rich man's version of the brioche (absolute delicious) and then ventured out to something fun for my children: Sticky Buns. The interesting part of this recipe was that there is hardly any butter involved in the recipe, yet it is super moist and soft. You can view the entire project on my blog, The Primlani Kitchen."—Rashmi Primlani
