The king of Japanese gummies, they come in every fruit flavor you can imagine from pineapple to melon to apple to mangosteen. My favorite description is for the strawberry: "Kasugai's strawberry gummy, made from fresh strawberry juice is a very delicious gummy. Please have a fun time with this strawberry gummy." How's that for Engrish?
Here they are, all open. We're not sure what makes them decide between the circular and heart shapes. The minis come in strip packs with five different flavors.
Doki Doki Doubutsu (Animal) Land
The softest of all, they're quite flavorful, even if that flavor is mostly artificial tasting and it's difficult (if even possible at all) to distinguish what the animal shapes are supposed to be.
Kajyu Gummy Kids
They're made by Meiji, who put out a few other quality products, but they don't have quite the same juicy flavor or texture as the Kasugai gummies.
Cutest packaging, poorest gummies. We had trouble distinguishing what the individual flavors were even supposed to be. Pass.
Kasugai Fruit Gummy Choco
The office was split on these chocolate covered gummies from Kasugai. Robyn and I weren't fans—the chocolate gets squished into the gummy in an odd way. Maggie and Adam, on the other hand, were fans, saying that it reminded them of Raisinettes.
