Ben and Jerry's New Bonnaroo Buzz Flavor

Add this to the list of Ben & Jerry's flavors inspired by music, right after Cherry Garcia, Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies, and Imagine Whirled Peace (the John Lennon tribute flavor). In conjunction with Bonnaroo, the music festival in Manchester, Tennessee, Ben & Jerry's is releasing Bonnaroo Buzz.
It's light coffee and malt ice cream mixed with whiskey caramel swirls and English toffee bits—pretty much just their Coffee Heath Bar, but with an alliterative name and some extra stuff thrown in there. If you like coffee ice cream and Heath Bar—and in my very unscientific research, I've found that penchants for the two seem to overlap—you'll really like this one. And the whiskey element isn't very strong, whether that's a pro or con for you.
The flavor will be available at scoop shops nationwide (sadly, not in pints) starting on May 4 through the summer and of course, at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, between June 10 to 13. The plan is to release it in limited batches, but if it does well, you may see it around longer.
Typical of Ben & Jerry's more-than-just-butterfat ethos, they are donating a portion of sales to the Bonnaroo Works Fund, which supports local, regional, and national non-profits, particularly in Tennessee.
